Dinasalda “Dina” Moniz Duarte, 81, passed on December 13th, 2023. She was the devoted wife of Manuel F. Duarte of North Providence. They were married for 65 years. Born in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Cecilia (Pereira) Ferreira.

Mrs. Duarte had been employed by Ross Matthews of Fall River and then BB Greenburg of Providence for many years. Dina was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting ceramics at the North Providence Mancini center. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Paul George, a daughter Nelia Davis, three grandchildren, Austin Duarte, Gianna Duarte and Fallon Davis. She was the sister of the late Jose Manuel Pereira Moniz. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 17th from 2:00 - 5:00pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 18th directly in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, RI at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
